Announcements Time for Fall! Fall is here! K2 has been working hard to learn their letters and numbers , as well as, patterns, five senses, and citizenship. K2 also just achieved their 10 goal slip goal and had a fun time making rainbow fiz punch and eating rainbow cookies. In celebration of Fall, the whole kindergarten grade level had "Apple Day" in which the students rotated around four different classrooms and experienced different crafts and activities based on the theme of apples. Lockheed had it's first conference week in September- What a success! Thanks to all parents who showed up and expressed their concern for their child's progress!
In up and coming news, Kindergarten will be taking a field trip to the pumpkin patch on Nov. 1st. Also, in October, we will be celebrating Pumpkin Day! Just a side note: as the fall season approaches, the class numbers are growing and in order to help ALL students reach their goals in the classroom, helping hands are needed (2 parents are needed for the fieldtrips.;) All parents are encouraged to assist with crafts and reading partners for the students. If you are interested, send a note with your availability and contact info, and I will put you on the schedule. Also, I am seeking about 3 or 4 parents to assist with the winter holiday party as this will be a joyous yet "busy" time in the classroom.
